SENOR TECH locates in Venlo
Taiwanese company sets up European Headquarters and warehousing activities in Holland
The Taiwanese company SENOR TECH Co. Ltd has decided to set up its European Headquarters and warehousing activities at Janssen Distribution Services in Venlo on Venlo Trade Port Industrial Estate. Senor Tech will be renting warehouse and office space. The investment is forecasted to amount to approx. € 1.2 million which will provide 10 new jobs over the next two years. SENOR TECH, headquartered in Taiwan, manufactures and exports Point of Sales, Touch System and associated point of sale apparatus such as card readers, RFID, printers and bar code scanners since 1990. The company targets retail, hospitality and various industrial markets.
The first contact with SENOR TECH was made via the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency. LIOF organized a fact-finding mission in Limburg which was followed up with meeting the SENOR TECH management during the CeBIT Trade Fair in Hannover in March 2008. LIOF was responsible for coordinating the discussion leading to the establishment of the company, pointing out the advantages of Limburg as a hub between the harbours at Rotterdam and Antwerp, the province's professional logistics services and the quality infrastructure, and the excellent links with the European hinterland.
Apart from looking in Limburg, SENOR TECH B.V. also considered other locations in the Netherlands. In the end, the immediate availability of warehouse space and the service level offered by Janssen Distribution were the deciding factors.
Besides its headquarters in Taipei, SENOR TECH has locations in Australia, China, the USA and now also in Europe. Worldwide, the company employs more than 100 people. SENOR TECH B.V. is not the first Taiwanese company in Venlo: Posiflex, Cooler Master, Universal Abit and Biostar have already set up businesses here.
Janssen Distribution Services is a full service logistics service provider, offering associated functions such as value added services and deliveries and full chain management, alongside transport and warehousing.
